This half-day symposium, in collaboration with the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/iadllaw.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">International Association of Democratic Lawyers<\/a><\/strong>, the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nlg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Lawyers Guild<\/a><\/strong>, the University of Hawai\u02bbi at M\u0101noa <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/nhss\/\" target=\"_blank\">Native Hawaiian Student Services<\/a><\/strong>, and the University of Hawai\u02bbi at M\u0101noa <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/coe.hawaii.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">College of Education<\/a><\/strong>, featured experts in the fields of international law, international relations, international criminal law and war crimes, and Hawaiian Kingdom law on the topic of the American occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom since January 17, 1893. Part 2 of the presentation ends with a celebration of Aloha \u02bb\u0100ina (Hawaiian patriotism) through mele (song) by well known Hawaiian entertainers and musicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentations stem from the three presenters&#8217;
