Dr. Keanu Sai on KITV Island Life Live New’s Hawaiian History Month September

Last month September was “Hawaiian History” month, and Dr. Keanu Sai was invited present four episodes of Hawaiian history on KITV television show Island Life Live News. These historical episodes are covered in Dr. Sai’s chapter “Hawai‘i’s Sovereignty and Survival in the Age of Empire” that was published in December of 2024 by Oxford University Press.

In his chapter, Dr. Sai covers: the legal and political history of the Hawaiian Kingdom; the evolution of governance as a constitutional monarchy; the unlawful overthrow of the government by United States troops in 1893; the prolonged American occupation since 1893; the restoration of the government of the Hawaiian Kingdom in 1997; and the recognition, by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in 1999, of the continued existence of the Hawaiian Kingdom as a State and the Council of Regency as its provisional government.

  1. It’s been GREAT to see these Hawaiian History soft disclosure nuggets on “the news”! Yet, since they’re so gently done, while MOST are unaware of depth of deception that has flourished here, will locals GET what is *REALLY* being said? 🤔
For example, in the most recent episode Kumu Sai said in response to the Q: “HOW CAN the Hawaiian Kingdom government be restored?” Sai responded:
“Well, actually, the kingdom government WAS RESTORED IN 1997 as a Council of Regency, which serves in the absence of a monarch, on the constitutional law and what’s called the legal Doctrine of Necessity.” Then Sai gave the example of the HK Council of Regency’s 1999 PCA case whereby that international organization HAD to verify first *if* HK was legit/continued to exist– which it HAD confirmed under international law. .. Then? 🤪
Let’s guess that NDAs are in place to keep global military Ops secure– yet limits WHAT can be currently shared?

On a similar note, in my ongoing foreC battle, finally got a response to my filed “Judicial Notice of the continued existence of the Hawaiian Kingdom as a sovereign state under international law; and motion to dismiss due to lack of subject matter jurisdiction”. I cited ALL the laws they’d be breaking *if* they proceeded & other evidence. No surprise “they” DENIED it (((again))). Hence, our courts clearly ARE still compromised.
Yet interestingly, the Order is UNSIGNED (a blank line) by the “judge of the above-entitled court”. Either they’re getting really sloppy or is that a nod that the lender’s devious BAR esquires are sending docs for signature w/o the Occupier’s court signature? Just glad we’re still in our hale.
Looking forward to FUTURE Island News’ segments with “Dr. Keanu Sai”! 🥳
