  1. Awesome! Every island should have a Lā Kū‘oko‘a event, this should be a holiday, even in the ‘state of Hawaii’ (get Kūhiō and Kamehameha Day, why not Lā Kū‘oko‘a too?). Kaua‘i get rodeo and caravan. There should be makahiki events too, including pro surf meets, etc. pump it up!

  2. Eia I kekahi mea hoihoi ‘ia: Trade your Thanksgiving [ha’ole] Holiday off with a co-worker so that you can have Friday the 28th off to commerate, honour, grieve and embrace our resolution to restore our Nation and self-governance. Imua. Aloha Na Hoa’hanau.

    • E Aloha kaua! I work downtown Honolulu in an Accountant’s Firm and I asked for Ka La Kuoko’a off to celebrate and agreed to work on July 4th instead from now on. Amazingly, my boss said it’s fine and put it on the company calendar, so it’s possible. Hoorah! I imagine others can try to do so too, if they like.
