  1. Ho`ohanohano i ko Kūpuna Na`auao
To Honor the Wisdom of the Kupuna

This is evidence of the wisdom and wishes of our Kupuna, they signed that they did not want Annexation.

What I find puzzling is that many signed the roll of Kanaiolowalu knowing this TRUTH. Knowing that their Kupuna said emphatically NO.

What of this do they not understand?

    • Indeed.

“e kū‘ē loa aku i ka ho‘ohui ‘ia o Hawai‘i me Amerika a hiki i ke aloha ‘āina hope loa!” — James Kaulia of Hui Aloha ‘Āina

Forever protest the annexation of Hawai’i to America until the very last Hawaiian patriot live!

      Seems pretty straightforward to me.

  2. My people were from Nu’u and some distance from Hana. Gasped to see the name of my kupuna on this list. Yet, there she is in signature as if to speak through time to guide the way for me. Mahalo and aloha.
